Sorting and Palletizing Conveyor System

A large producer of food service supplies wanted to save labor on manual sorting and palletizing finished product. Because all of the liquid ingredients are produced in one kitchen, there is limited access for moving finished product from the process area. A conveyor system was developed where all of the products from multiple packaging lines are placed on one conveyor. In the warehouse area, the products are sorted by bar code scanners and palletized by robots. The conveyor controls are based on an Allen Bradley SLC-5/03 system with Accu-Sort bar code scanners. GE Fanuc robots complete the system.
