Beverage Mixing Facility

A large beverage organization built a facility for a new product and we provided the PLC programming and startup services to the process OEM. The primary project goal was to meet the schedule with a system that was ready to run as the beverage manufacturer was launching the new product based on marketing considerations. Extensive testing was done during the development to ensure a smooth start-up. A Wonderware workstation manages the recipes and reporting functions. Recipes are downloaded to an Allen Bradley PLC 5/80 and mixing operators are prompted by 5 Panelview 1400E's. Data Highway Plus interface to the filling line PLC controls the coordination between the mixing and filling functions. A separate Allen Bradley PLC 5/60 controls CIP sequencing under direction from the PLC 5/80.
